The Town of Herman Details
HISTORY:
The Town of Herman is a township located in the middle of SHAWANO COUNTY,, located about half way between Green Bay and Wausau. It was established as a Township in 1871 by mostly German Immigrants. The unincorporated communities of Lyndhurst, and the northern section of unincorporated Leopolis is also located partially within the town. The Incorporated Village of Gresham lies within the NE corner of the township.
Geography
The town has a total area of 35.4 square miles (91.7 km²),
of which, 35.2 square miles (91.1 km²) of it is land
and 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²) of it (0.65%) is water.
